So happy to see you are enjoying the book. Good stuff. Overall Zuckerman is quite an optimist and it’s infectious.

Also: nice sticker at the end of your post. Keeps making me giggle — the internet’s a drunk librarian who won’t shut up. heheheehe

Yes. thank you again for giving me a copy of it. I’m learning quite a bit. I just checked out the library copy of Kwame Anthony Appiah’s “Cosmopolitanism: Ethics in a world of strangers which Zuckerman mentions. I think I might read it as well.

Glad you liked the sticker. Heh. love from Dad

It all tasted amazing. You left your pot holders here…
Did I tell you, one can make a pretty tasty Pad Thai with spaghetti squash?

  • From jupiterj on all souls and jupe in the kitchen

Your frittata was quite good as well. I did miss my pot holders later. Mark helped me put stuff in the car and that’s when I neglected to grab them. I hadn’t thought of Pad Thai with spaghetti squash, but it sounds great. Thanks again for having me over.

I often remember an elementary teacher telling me that saying “words cannot describe” something is a false statement. There are words enough to describe everything – it is our job to learn all the words. To this day, I will say “my vocabulary isn’t sufficient to describe”. Funny how certain things make an impact and stick with me.

  • From jupiterj on hymns of hate

I can remember some of my elementary school teachers vividly as well. And in many instances what they taught me still informs the ways I see things. Thanks for reading.

Hey! Be careful, man! Remember you can ask for help with things like box springs.

Also, some of your pics seem to be broken. Maybe it’s just my computer or the Chinese internet.

    I love you!

Regarding the pics, I was in the process of fixing them as you were reading it. I noticed that Windows was opening them a bit differently after I had sent them to myself from my phone to my email. I skipped the usual print screen, paste and edit process to just copy image. It didn’t work, so I had to go back and fix each pic. They should be right now.

I do ask for help when I need it. I even hired a guy to help me get all the books upstairs at once. The box springs was very light. Eileen and I pretty smart about this sort of thing. That’s why I freaked when I fell.

I love you. I’m glad you guys are pretty good about asking for help and stuff. And you take care of each other pretty well too!

Yep, the images are working for me now!

    No, thank YOU!
And, look on your back porch, if you didn’t see it already, to find your Bach Clavieruebung…

  • From Sarah on bibliophile porn and singing bowls

    Hey there..

    I’m glad to hear mom’s got a plan…

I have a singing bowl you know – or had one, back in Michigan. I don’t know where it is, but it may still be in the house somewhere – I would have rescued it from the ‘skip incident’ if I had seen it down in the basement. Might be worth taking a look if you’re interested.

i love you! thanks for putting up pics and stuff – I hope grandma and mom are doing ok. (and you! 🙂 )

      Sarah,

I didn’t know about your singing bowl. Did you know about the chakra stuff? I hope I didn’t toss it. Will look for it. Eileen and I planning to join Mom for lunch today. It’s her 87th birthday! She is doing pretty well for her age and health.

You pay one thousand dollars a month for health insurance?

  • From jupiterj on bibliophile porn and singing bowls

    Jonny,

The one thousand dollars is what it would take to continue Eileen’s benefit health insurance she and I now enjoy from the library where she works.

    It’s an estimate I believe.

  • From Jonny Keen on bibliophile porn and singing bowls

That is a lot of money for health insurance!

  • From Stephen Eric Berry on book and art talk

    Stephen:

I wonder if you would reply with a way for me to contact Paul Wizynajtys. I purchased one of his brass wind chimes and used the chimes in an album we are releasing next month: LAST TAXI HOME by Irish signer-songwriter Richie Healy. I would like to send Mr. Wizynajtys a free album so that he can hear his beautiful chimes incorporated into the music. I would also be interested in purchasing one or more of his wind chimes in 2014. Thanks.

  • From Sarah on getting ready

Thanks for putting the pics up. You had me worried when you said “Note the clock in the back of the picture above” and “It was to go in this corner” …I thought you were leading up to saying it had fallen and smashed or something!

I wish I was coming for Thanksgiving… but Matthew is going to make me a nice meal (+ Pumpking pie!) and cook actual turkey for his dad, so it will seem a bit like Thanksgiving anyway.

    love you
