  • From jupiterj on getting ready

I had you and your siblings in mind when I put up these pics, as well visiting Jenkinses. I miss chatting. Eileen will have some time off this week, maybe we can chat sometime. love from Dad

  • From Rhonda on getting ready

I was totally waiting for that too! “That WAS the clock… and now it’s lying in pieces on the floor.” Notice the dramatic foreshadowing that we have come to expect from your blog!
I’d meant to say a day or two about, about the funeral, that you can’t nail everything all the time, and that piece is pretty tricky. But seems like you’re feeling better about it now anyway.
The Messiah I mentioned to you is the Leonard van Camp edition, btw…

  • From Elizabeth J. on getting ready

Yes, I totally enjoy the photos! Love you! Will try to catch you for a chat soon.

Rhonda… I had recently performed the In Dir ist Freude and thought I still had it in my fingers and feet. Oops. i don’t know the Van Camp edition. I was think of the Watkins Shaw edition which is also pretty clean,

Elizabeth, glad you had a chance to see the pics. Hope you and Jeremy are doing well. Chatting can be hard with the time zones, eh? Nevertheless would love to chat. Love from Dad

  • From David on jupe chats about his musical experiences

I believe you said one time that you knew this person.

If not this is my cousins father (my mothers later sister Kathy’s ex husband).

    Just FYI….

  • From jupiterj on jupe chats about his musical experiences

I remember him well and fondly.

  • From David on jupe chats about his musical experiences

Marcia said he was good hearted and I have pretty good memories of uncle Rick as i called him. I have heard I look very similar to his son which makes sense since we are cousins. Its not hard to believe that there is someone as good looking as I am out there….=^)

    • From jupiterj on jupe chats about his musical experiences

I remember playing music with him and losing to him at chess. He was a good guy.

  • From Rhonda on an old non-techie looks at the new NYT app

I knew all that stuff in the Aldi article, but it was still funny and clever.
    We heart Aldi!
Also, about a previous post, I’ve heard it said that Hope Church is full of introverted intellectuals, so there might be a reason you feel more comfortable there than other churches in town…
    See you tomorrow!

  • From jupiterj on an old non-techie looks at the new NYT app

Heh. I admit I haven’t read the Aldi article yet. With our reduced income looming it would probably behoove me to start darkening the door there. Are you implying that I am an introverted intellectual?

As you can see by the watermark on the photo of the man playing the piano at Vanves, Paris (above) that’s my copyrighted photo. And you’ve used it without permission or credit. Kindly remove the photo from your website. Thank you.

  • From jupiterj on another day in paradise

    As you wish.

  • From Elizabeth J. on this and that

Sorry I’m so slow. Just saw you’re on instagram and friended you. Yay! Yay cat! Yay photos!

  • From Rhonda on Aldi's, Guilmant and Gwyneth Walker

Now maybe we should go to Aldi together sometime. Experience shows which of their products taste just like the name brands, and which are better to avoid. Though they are getting better all the time, in my opinion.
I’m curious about the Walker piece – can I borrow that sometime?

“I’m the most radical person I know” I do not think you are correct in that judgment. I am sure there are more radical people in Holland than just you. What does it mean to be radical? From my Christian point of view Holland is radical even though one sees a lot churches. To me being radical is not being Christian. True biblical Christians are the true radicals. All around me I see radicals or people holding to views that are unbiblical.

  • From David on internet down? have to wait to look some things up

Hey…..I used to say that word a lot “Neant”. Always thought it meant not….of course I cant remember where I picked it up when I was a younger person….

Also, I saw that Marvel sync on tumbler. If only I had a color printer.

Hope you had great holidays. We tried to call you on xmas. I cooked a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It was my first time and had to ask my mother in law. it turned out okay. Nobody got sick and the kids liked it. We had leftovers for days.

BTW…the California Jenkins say thank you for the gifts and happy holidays.

    David =^)

  • From jupiterj on internet down? have to wait to look some things up

We had a good holiday. Sorry we missed your phone call. We were out and about after breakfast with Mom. I made a big Turkey dinner for the Jenkinses on Thanksgiving. It was a bit challenging since Emily is gluten free these days. Nobody got sick from my turkey either, always a good sign.

Glad you and the fam liked your stuff. Love from Dad

  • From Elizabeth J. on internet down? have to wait to look some things up

I think I spotted a couple of hints of your exhaustion: You list the Sudan link twice. And you called Christmas Thanksgiving in your comment. I love you. Rest up!

  • From jupiterj on internet down? have to wait to look some things up

I see the redundant link, but I really did make a Turkey on Thanksgiving (not Christmas). We had a buffet of meats, cheese and other stuff for Xmas. But I don’t deny the exhaustion by any means.

  • From Elizabeth J. on internet down? have to wait to look some things up

Oh. I was confused. I love you!
