On December 28, Stephen Bruce Jenkins, musician and lover of books and learning, died peacefully of melanoma in his home at the age of 72.
Eileen, his beloved wife of 48 years, cared for him throughout his illness. He is also survived by his three children David (Cynthia) Jenkins, Elizabeth (Jeremy Daum) Jenkins, and Sarah (Matthew Locke) Jenkins; his 6 grandchildren Nicholas, Savannah, Catherine, Alexandra, Lucy and Alice; his brother Mark (Leigh) Jenkins; and many loving members of his extended family.

I’m so sorry to awake to news of Steve’s passing. He led a choir at Our Lady of Lake which I was honored to be a member. So talented, so creative, so loving, so kind, and fun too.
I would occasionally see him around town over the years. It was always a joy to see him and chat.
My thoughts are with you.
