Today was my six month check up and I’m feeling pretty good about it. Weirdly my BP was the lowest it has been in weeks at the doctor’s office. Dr. Fuentes suspects that my home BP cuff is over estimating my Blood pressure by about ten points. I have an appointment on Thursday to bring in my home kit and have a nurse do comparative readings on it. I’m interested to see how that plays out.
In the meantime, Fuentes is reluctant to prescribe more meds. She is convinced I can bring the BP down with life changes. It’s kind of encouraging for her to think so and helps me think so myself.
By her scales I had lost one pound since my last check up.
So it seems that I’m doing okay for an old guy.
Yay!
